Snack Bar Information & Service Requirements

Always Use Food Service Gloves

1. It is each team’s responsibility to fill the shifts for the days they are assigned snack bar duty. If a shift is not covered, the snack bar will be closed until the next shift begins.
2. Each team will most likely have 8-12 shifts consisting of 2 – 3 hours.
3. Snack bar assignments for each team will be posted on the league web site at www.avgssoftball.com along with Opening and Closing procedures.
4. The Team Parent should coordinate with the families of the team to determine who will cover the required shifts for your assigned snack bar duty.
5. A list of scheduled shifts, names, and phone numbers will be provided to the Snack Bar Coordinator by the Team Parents.
6. In case of rain, check the league web site for field closures to determine if snack bar duty assignments are cancelled. If games are cancelled, your team will be contacted to reschedule make up shifts for any make up games scheduled later in the season.
7. Each volunteer should locate the sign in book in the snack bar when they report for their shift. There will be a page in the book with a roster for you to sign in on.
8. Families working in the snack bar MUST pay for items they consume from the snack bar. (NO free food! This excludes umpires who are umpiring games. Drinks or food that umpires request should be marked down on the tally sheet for the day.)
9. The snack bar will most likely be open for all games except for weekday nights where only one game is scheduled.
10. The snack bar offers tickets to parents for whatever dollar amount they wish to purchase them to hand out to players after games. (This is a great option for parents who do not wish to bring snacks or drinks to their games for snack assignments.)
